The Morning After...

...a Blustery & Blizzardly Sunday!
So quiet and peaceful and lovely after yesterday's tumultuous weather.

The winter storm left high drifts on our deck. It covered the steps and about two feet up onto the patio doors. Bella and Dora are peering over the drift.

The shapes in the drifts are so graceful, curving, and peaked...Jack Frost left us some beautiful gifts created from those ferocious wintry blasts. Along with the snow, hundreds of leaves are scattered across our deck from the patches of ground laid bare by the wind.

    I want snow! Just not on the 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th, and 2nd. Not picky at all! =) My ideal world would be for a big snowfall to hit central IL around the 20-21st and then all the roads be cleared for OUR travel later that week. =) One can hope for perfect right?
