Windows are Open!

Oh yes...finally...a break from the beastly heat and oppressive humidity! A storm passed through here a couple of hours ago...a perfect storm of dark clouds, wind, and blessed rain. The temp has dropped from yesterday's 100° to our current 74° which seems downright cool in comparison. 

After I went onto the deck to shoot this lovely scene, I opened windows to fill the house with natural air and listen to the chirping of birds.

This is not the first time I have wished for a way to capture the breeze, the smell, the sounds, the movement of trees and clouds, the pure pleasure of experiencing a quick change in the weather after a spell of extreme conditions.
