Albany, New York

Thursday, August 4, 2011
In case I haven't mentioned lately what an ace motorhome driver Rich is, here are a few photos to prove it. We decided to drive right through Albany past the Empire State Plaza. It turns out that Albany, like most cities, is very old with very narrow streets. Parking on both sides of those narrow streets and single lane street construction in a couple of areas made for quite a thrilling drive.

But...Rich never flinched or blinked. We just rolled on through the heart of Albany.

Empire State Plaza directly across from the Capitol Building.

"Threadin' the needle" through another construction project. Ahead...the State University Administration System building...wow, it was huge!

We saw the Hudson River for the first time in downtown Albany and have followed portions of it every day since.

We've spent the last couple of days parked near Lake Luzerne and Lake George in the Adirondacks. While there we had no internet and extremely rare/spotty cell phone service. Lake Placid is our destination today. I'll post as I can.
