Heaven is Spelled N-E-W H-A-M-P-S-H-I-R-E

After driving into Stowe to check out a couple of cute shops this morning, we unhooked and headed for our next destination. After traveling a few short hours over two lane rural highways, through a number of lovely small towns, we arrived at the Notch View RV Resort just outside Colebrook, New Hampshire. Rich had called for a reservation a couple of days ago after picking it from a directory.

We had no idea what to expect since this dirt and gravel road led up to the resort.

Rich went in to register and met the friendly owners who directed us to our site...gulp...yeah, take a breath...this is the view from our door...

This is the rest of our yard so please, come on up and sit a spell. Let's have a drink and just soak up these incredible views of the White Mountains.

We did tear ourselves away soon after getting the RV settled because I had seen an osprey nest just a few miles before we got to our town. This nest must be four or five feet across; these are large birds and are often mistaken for bald eagles. We parked on the side of the road and watched one osprey fly home. There were two others in the nest.

Later, while I was uploading the day's photos, this was the scene outside our windows...

What a day; what a place! Not only is this place beautiful but the air is crisp and clean with daytime temps in the seventies. We've already extended our stay from the original two days to seven.
